New cyber threats related to "Intelligent Machine-hack" emerge in digital 4.0 era and can ruin industries in days.
Industrial robots are now being used to assemble everything from aeroplanes to smartphones, using human-like arms to mechanically repeat the same processes over and over, thousands of times a day.
Industrial robots are a fast-growing area in the industrial sector, with historical growth rates exceeding 20% in unit terms, with an annual value of $16 billion based on International Federation of Robotics data (Bloomberg).
According to experts robots (powered by software...) have flaws that could make them vulnerable to advanced hackers, who could steal data or alter a robot's movements remotely, like a scene out of science fiction. Hackers can hide malicious code in robots and other automated, programmable manufacturing machines. Imagine what can happen if criminals get Your robots under complete control... The damage could be fatal for the manufacturer - "operational failure, physical damage, environmental harm and injury or loss of life...".
The risk of getting attacked is relatively high for organizations involved in manufacturing. As manufacturers continue to embrace digitization, cybercriminals will consider the sector a high-value target. For manufacturing companies in addition to forcing the closure of one or more plants, a cyberattack can expose sensitive data and result in a failure to fullfil customer orders.
Many attacks in the manufacturing sector include the theft of intellectual property. Should a competitor use that data to launch a competing product, it could lead to a loss of market share or the eventual demise of the manufacturer victimized in the attack. In extreme circumstances, the most severe attacks can result in permanent damage to a manufacturer's plant and equipment.

Data belongs to dating site MeetMindful and includes everything from real names to Facebook account tokens, and from email addresses and geolocation information.
Why is it important?
Over the past few years, many cybercrime groups have engaged in a practice called sextortion, where they take data leaked from dating sites and contact site users, threatening to expose their dating profiles and history to family or work colleagues unless they're paid a ransom demand.
The leak of this highly sensitive data represents a looming issue for the site's users. MeetMindful needs to notify account holders and make better efforts to protect its' users from cyber attacks.
